I met April in Hawaii at my niece Amanda’s wedding and immediately loved her. She came to Jacksonville for Christmas a few years later, when this photo was taken. I am filled with sorrow for all of you who loved her. Rest well, sweet girl.

I am comforted a little with the thought that Hunter Lawrence would have instantly recognized April and commanded her to sit and snuggle on other side. To relive her joy and humor, I visit the Facebook page she made for our kitty boy (see photos) while she babysat him for the year we worked out of state and the beautiful post she made at his passing. I will eventually find the words for her once the disbelief wears off of this incredibly sad reality I am faced with knowing of our loss of her in the living world.

My deepest condolences to April’s family and loved ones. April was a bright light in this dark world and she helped so many people. I owe my sobriety to her. At the time I was like a stranger and she befriended me and she talked to me for great lengths of time through my withdrawals and I wouldn’t be here without her. April will be sorely missed and I pray she is at peace with God now and may her memory and her spirit live within all of our hearts who knew and loved her.

Words cannot adequately express my condolences for your loss. I met April through my niece who is a good friend of April. In the few times I met April I found her to be a vibrant, brilliant, and incredibly witty woman. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
