Obituary of Ronald L. Zambetti

Ronald L. Zambetti, age 80, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Bronx, NY and was raised in Watchung and had lived there until moving to Toms River in 1985. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he was a Sargent in the Watchung Police Dept. Previously, he had worked alongside his father as a mason. Mr. Zambetti was a member of the PBA, VFW, and the American Legion. He enjoyed bowling with his friends in Toms River, fishing, golfing and the NY Giants but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his sister, Gilda Reinhold. Mr. Zambetti is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joan Janin Zambetti; his son, Ronald L. Zambetti, Jr.; his daughters, Donna Radzik and Sandra Burton; his granddaughters, Amanda and Katherine Radzik and Brittany Burton. Funeral services will begin on Monday, October 15th at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church. Interment will be at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
