Obituary of Julia A. Toffoli

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend

TOFFOLI – Julia (Pelkowski), age 98, of Warren, on December 16, 2023, beloved wife of Bernard “Ben” Toffoli. 

Julia’s parents (Stella and Joseph) emigrated from Poland and she was born on March 10, 1925, in Flushing, Queens.

Julia worked in a dentist’s office prior to her marriage on December 30, 1950.  Ben and Julia lived in Queens until relocating to Center Valley, Pennsylvania in 1970.  In 1972 they moved to Warren where they lived for the remainder of their lives.

Julia loved time with her family and friends especially hosting holiday meals and gathering for Sunday dinner.  A full table warmed her heart and she enjoyed seeing her family expand over the years as marriages took place and grandchildren were born.

In 2007 the family reunited in Maui and again in 2009 in the Outer Banks.  Mom was a proud matriarch with her brood of nineteen sharing space and adventures together.

Julia was a cherished mother to Mark Toffoli, Greg Toffoli, Val Creamer, and Neal Toffoli, dear mother-in-law to Carol Toffoli, Sara Toffoli, and Cherie Toffoli, devoted grandmother to Matthew (Caitlin), Christine, Vincent (Kristin), Brandon, Aubrey (Stephan), Austin and loving sister to Ron (Carol). 

Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ben, her parents, and her brother Buddy.   

Special love, gratitude, and blessings go to Mary Muasyia who joined our family in 2017 and took gentle, loving care of Julia in her final years. We find comfort in our memories and know that Mom is reunited with long-gone friends and family.

A funeral mass will be held in Julia's beloved memory on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church - Chapel, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, NJ.
