Diane M. Goldstein, aged 78, a beacon of glamour, love, and care, concluded her earthly journey peacefully at her home in Somerset, surrounded by her devoted family. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Diane's life was a tapestry of vibrant experiences, marked by years in Basking Ridge and her final cherished 18 years in Somerset.
Diane's professional journey as a hairdresser was nothing short of remarkable. Her career, spanning several decades, saw her grace numerous salons with her talent. The pinnacle of her career was her final decade at the prestigious Saks Fifth Avenue in Millburn, where her skills shone not only in New Jersey but also on the illustrious stages of New York City, enhancing fashion shows and photo shoots with her touch.
Beyond her career, Diane's heart belonged to the serene shores of Diamond Beach in Wildwood Crest. Here, at the family beach home, she found her paradise, reveling in the joys of the Jersey Shore. Diane's world was further brightened by the visits of Annette and their beloved Shih Tzu, Sadie, whose presence brought immense joy to her life.
Diane's love for her family was her guiding light, with cherished moments spent with her four grandchildren, illuminating her life with joy and pride. Her culinary prowess was another of her many talents, bringing warmth and delight to family gatherings.
Diane's spirit was further enriched by her deep faith as a Jehovah's Witness, a background that infused her life with purpose and community.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her husband of over 38 years, Michael Goldstein, her beloved son Frank LaFace and his wife Annette; grandchildren Michael LaFace and his wife Jordan, Brianna Boland and her husband Sean, Brittany LaFace, and Mia LaFace; her sister Rose Bienenstock and her husband George, along with a host of loving friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ, with a funeral talk at 7 p.m. A second visitation will follow on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m., leading to a committal service at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
