Obituary of Patrick J. Huh
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick Ji-Hwan Huh. He left us unexpectedly due to long-term health complications on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the age of 46.
Born in the City of New York, Patrick grew up in a nurturing environment that shaped him into the remarkable person we all cherished. He spent much of his childhood in New York City, later moving to North Brunswick, where he completed his high school education with distinction. Patrick's academic journey led him to Rutgers University, where he pursued a degree in computer science, a field for which he had passion and talent. He took a career turn becoming a team leader as a lab technician for Labcorp in Bridgewater, NJ, where he worked for over 20 years gaining respect and admiration while making close friendships along the way.
Patrick lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel seeking new adventures and experiences by exploring the world with an open heart and mind. His other great passion was food. His friends and family lovingly described him as a “foodie.” Patrick delighted in discovering new restaurants and shared his culinary adventures on social media, capturing the essence of his meals in photographs. Patrick was passionate about his family and friends and always strived to bring those around him closer together. Patrick was devoted to his spiritual life having been involved in the church community as well as various causes and organizations close to his heart.
Patrick's legacy is carried on by his beloved parents, Yu Yoll and Boon Im Huh; his devoted sisters, Maria Huh (and her husband, Vernon Bice) and Elisa Huh (and her husband, Francois Deschenes); and his cherished nephew and niece, Alexandre and Amelie. His memory will forever be in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a private ceremony was held.
Patrick's life was full of joy, kindness, and generosity, touching the lives of many. We will cherish the memories and the mark he left on our lives, knowing that his spirit will forever guide and inspire us. Patrick will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on through the love and memories he shared with us all and never be forgotten.
