Dear Doug, Scott, Marci, & family, so very sorry to see that You lost Linda a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, & terrific person, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am glad that You had many years together, even though at any age never seems to be enough in our short life. We lost our wonderful parents Ralph & Marilyn Baker several years ago who we will always miss. Lily also transferred our parents from Sylvania, Ohio to Augusta, Georgia also where they lived out another 30 years or so in excruciating heat & humidity having to take coolers to the grocery store! Losing loved ones & the people we like & care about hurts. Mom & Dad always had the nicest friends & neighbors who will always be missed, like the Smiths, Krahs, Bennetts etc. a few for example, just good people at Sylvania, Ohio dinner parties I remember our parents hosting that I can still see everyone's young faces. Parents always did say that time passes quickly & they weren't kidding! I just did not expect to replace my grandfathers so soon. I have a wonderful son & 2 wonderful daughters as well as 3 grandsons & 1 granddaughter, all terrific. I have lost a lot of my Long time closest friends in their '60s and younger which is hard to believe with all the advancements. Every street that we have lived on in my life everyone is gone even before covid took more of my friends. Glad to see that Doug is still here. I remember the day my mother told me Scott Smith wrote a novel called "A Simple Plan", which Scott then wrote the screenplay to turn it into a movie. I watched the movie & it was good! Good memories, once again so sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers are with you in these difficult times, All my best,
Blake Baker
