Obituary of Margaret Folli
Margaret (Peggy) Cadden Folli, Beloved wife of 60 beautiful years of Arthur Folli passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at age 91. She was predeceased by her children, Son Arthur Thomas, Daughter Megan Carol, and Parents Kathrin and Thomas Cadden and Sister Barbara Crossan.
For many years, she was very active in raising funds to help victims of domestic violence residing in Somerset County, and as an officer of the Friends of the Shelter, the fundraising organization, She developed close friendships with many of the ladies involved in FOS affairs. She was active in the Catholic Church and was honored by being appointed as Dame of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in 2019, at which time her husband was knighted; honors were bestowed by Cardinal Edwin Frederick O'Brien.
She had a long career as an executive assistant for the Building Products Division of Johns Manville Corporation in Manville, NJ. After graduation from North Plainfield High School, she received her business training at Rutgers University.
While her husband was on a Middle East assignment she enjoyed foreign travel and visited more than 50 foreign countries on family trips as well as on business trips with her husband.
She loved her garden and vacationing in the Poconos and the Jersey Shore. She was an avid tennis player. She was a member of the Princeton Club of New York, The Nassau Club in Princeton, and the Cherry Valley Country Club.
She was a long-time communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church in Warren, New Jersey. She leaves behind her beloved husband Arthur, her beloved son Gregory, his wife Leslie, granddaughter Paige, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069. The funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren, followed by the interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
