Vincent J. Harmon, age 90, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed golf professional, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 13, 1933, in Orange, New Jersey, to Gerard Peter and Rose Ellen Harmon, Vincent was raised in West Orange and spent the last 47 years of his life in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

A graduate of West Orange High School, Vincent's passion for golf led him to an illustrious career spanning over five decades. His journey began at Essex Fells Country Club, eventually bringing his talents to Fern Cliff Golf Course, where fate would have him meet his future wife during a golf lesson. This encounter marked the beginning of a lifelong partnership and love story, leading to their marriage on May 18, 1968, at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Caldwell, New Jersey.

Vincent's dedication to golf was matched by his commitment to his country, serving overseas in Germany with the 3rd Armored Division "Spearhead" of the United States Army, followed by continued service in the Army Reserves. Returning to his love for golf, Vincent graced the greens of Roselle Golf Club, where he continued to teach and share his passion for the game as a PGA professional.

His love for golf was a constant source of joy and a defining aspect of his life, both in his professional career and personal enjoyment. Vincent's kind and generous spirit was evident in his dedication to teaching and playing the game he loved, leaving a lasting impact on many.

A devoted communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, New Jersey, for 47 years, Vincent's faith and family were the cornerstones of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Peg Harmon, his children, Christopher (Sue), Alexander (Kim), and Andrew (Louis), his cherished grandchildren Erica, Meredith, Ryan, and Brendan, and his sister, Elizabeth Harmon.
