Obituary of Irene L. Foerst

Irene L. Foerst, aged 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. Born on May 5, 1934, in Jersey City to Benjamin and Stella Bialoglow, Irene lived a full and vibrant life. Raised in Jersey City and a proud graduate of Ferris High School, she spent 20 years in Bridgewater, New Jersey, before settling in North Plainfield, New Jersey, where she lived for 42 years.

Irene's life was one of love, joy, and community. Her youthful evenings spent dancing were where fate led her to Vincent Foerst, the love of her life. Their meeting sparked a love story that blossomed into marriage and a beautiful family. Vincent, who always knew Irene was the one for him, remained her devoted partner until his passing in 2018. Their legacy is a testament to their enduring love and partnership.

Devoted to her family, Irene embraced her role as a homemaker with love and dedication. She and Vincent believed deeply in the importance of nurturing their home and children, a commitment that shaped the warm, loving environment they created for their family.

An active member of St. Bernard's St. Stanislaus Church in Plainfield, New Jersey, Irene was deeply rooted in her faith and community. She had a passion for the New York Knicks, gardening in her floral garden, and dancing. Irene cherished dining out with family and friends and loved hosting Christmas celebrations, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Irene's love for her family was her greatest joy, particularly attending her grandsons’ musical events, sporting events, and many more memorial celebrations. Her life was marked by the love and care she bestowed on her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Vincent Foerst, in 2009, and her loving husband, Vincent Foerst, in 2018.

Irene is survived by her daughters, Deborah Foerst and Donna Foerst; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Foerst; grandsons, Zachary Foerst, Cameron Foerst, and Travis Foerst; sister, Diane Molloy and her husband, Jimmy; all her nieces and nephews.
