Anthony Errichetto, Sister Pauline and I taught the classes in LGBT addiction prevention and recovery, interpersonal counseling skills and recovery support for the Passaic Council on Alcoholisms professional education program for many years. It was through my relationship with Anthony that I had the good fortune to meet and get to know Sister Pauline, who was an amazing woman, incredibly progressive and welcoming in embracing all populations and all people. She was a mentor and a friend. Anthony, who I also loved and respected had a long relationship with her as she was actually one of his teachers when he was a kid in Catholic school and she went onto embrace and support him as he came out as a gay man. Anthony died peacefully this week And made me think also of sister Pauline, So I looked her up and found her obituary and here. Now I am sure she and Anthony are together, laughing and smiling and joking as always, but looking after all of the people left behind as the angels they now are. I hope it’s not too late for Pauline’s family to read this tribute.
