Obituary of William H. Mobus
William Harold Mobus, 64, passed away on May 15, 2024, in the comfort of his own home in Warren, NJ. Son of Catherine and Robert “Gus” Mobus, he was born on June 20, 1959. He graduated from Somerset County Vocational in 1977.
Never venturing too far from his family home in Warren, he eventually married his soulmate, Jill. He was an avid lover of NASCAR and frequently traveled to watch the races. Ever since he was a kid, he loved the farm and outdoors. He instilled the same love for fishing and camping in his family.
He was a volunteer firefighter for the Washington Valley Volunteer Fire Company for 45 years. He was preceded to heaven by his mother Catherine and his father Gus. He is survived by Jill, his wife and mother of his three children, Willie, Kristi, and Kelly. Along with his two brothers Robert and George.
He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, brother, and friend. He was a friend to many and a master of sarcastic humor to others, but he was always a devoted family man.
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make contributions to the National Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.
We invite you all to share pictures or memories with us because it was his wish that we laugh, reminisce, and smile together during this time.
