Mazen Alnaser

Obituary of Mazen Mellijor Alnaser

Mazen Mellijor Alnaser, 28, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Born on December 4, 1995, in Cebu City, Philippines, Mazen spent his early childhood in Cebu until the age of nine, when his family relocated to the United States. They initially settled in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, before moving to Norwalk, Connecticut, and finally making their home in Hackettstown, New Jersey, where Mazen resided until 2022. He then moved to Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.

Mazen graduated from Hackettstown High School and furthered his education at County College of Morris (CCM), earning an associate degree in business. He embarked on a diverse career in the car industry, working for Mavis as an auto technician before transitioning to various dealerships. Ultimately, in his next career path he found himself as a truck driver for Keurig/Dr Pepper, a role he passionately dedicated himself to for the past three and a half years. Mazen was known for his exceptional work ethic and dedication, qualities that earned him great respect among his colleagues and friends.

Mazen was more than just a diligent worker; he was a vibrant and genuine individual who touched the lives of many. A true extrovert, Mazen had a remarkable ability to connect with people, always telling it like it is and standing as a loyal friend. His big heart and protective nature made him a beloved figure among his family and friends. He cherished moments spent shopping and loved dancing and karaoke. Mazen's enthusiasm for life extended to the gym, and one of his greatest joys was riding motorcycles with his friends.

Mazen's influence was especially evident in his relationship with his brother, Waleed, who looked up to him and often emulated his style and interests. Mazen's impact on his brother's life was profound, shaping Waleed's sense of fashion and outlook on life.

Mazen’s ability to express and provide love towards his mother Cherish Tanyu was something that felt easy for him to do. Cherish was a constant and stable person in his life, both never giving up on each other.

Despite initial reluctance, Mazen's companion, Mayra Naula, convinced him to get a dog, and he soon fell in love with their Labradoodle, Hamza. Mazen’s beloved girlfriend and life partner had a 15 year long friendship, before their 10 year loving relationship. Above all, Mazen's greatest joy in life was spending time with Mayra and his beloved daughter, Malika Alnaser. The only thing that brought him more joy than riding a motorcycle was spending time with Malika. He cherished every moment with her, embodying the role of a loving dedicated father.

Mazen is survived by his loving companion, Mayra Naula; his daughter, Malika Alnaser; his mother, Cherish Tanyu; his stepfather, Henry Tanyu; his brother, Waleed Alnaser; his sister, Sarah Alnaser.
