Heather Sue Perona Obituary

Heather S. Perona, age 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Martinsville, NJ, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Born in Plainfield, Heather was raised in Warren before settling in Martinsville in 1993 with her loving husband, Michael.


Heather earned an associate's degree from Somerset County Community College, now known as Raritan Valley Community College. Her professional life was marked by dedication and hard work spending over 35 years as a compensation analyst for Chubb, first in Warren and then in Whitehouse Station after the company relocated.


A devoted member of Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, Heather was known for her strong faith and commitment to her community. She had a deep love for animals, particularly horses, and was an avid equestrian rider who participated in several competitions. Heather also enjoyed boating with her husband and family, creating cherished memories on the water. In addition to her love for animals and boating, Heather had a keen interest in reading about the royal family.


Heather was known for her organizational skills and thoughtfulness. She was always the first in the family to send out the yearly Christmas cards and made sure to acknowledge everyone's birthday.


Heather is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Michael; her two children, Michael and Katherine; and her four siblings, Charles W. (Nancy), Jill (Paul), Robert J. (Kim), and Bruce R. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and many loving family and friends.


Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, followed by the burial at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Warren, NJ.


Heather's kindness, dedication, and love for her family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
