Camille Cofone

Obituary of Camille Ann Cofone

Camille Ann Cofone, 66, of Tatamy, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Born on July 7, 1958, in Belleville, New Jersey, to Vincent and Carmella Cofone, Camille was raised in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. She later resided in Warren and Watchung before making her home in Tatamy in 2013.

Camille graduated from Governor Livingston High School in 1976 and went on to further her education, earning her degree from Muhlenberg College. Her dedication to caring for others led her to a fulfilling career as a nursing assistant at Overlook Hospital, where she proudly served for 28 and a half years. Camille was deeply passionate about her work and found great joy in helping others, embodying the true spirit of compassion and dedication. She took immense pride in her role and always felt honored to be of service to her patients.

A former communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren, New Jersey, Camille’s faith played an important role in her life. She raised her children with the values she cherished and was actively involved in their lives. Camille was not only a nurturing mother but also a supportive coach, guiding her son’s baseball team and helping with her Girl Scout troop. She thrived on being a part of their activities, serving as a class mom, and ensuring she was present in every aspect of their upbringing.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Camille enjoyed bowling and was an enthusiastic member of her local bowling league. Her love for animals was also a significant part of her life, as she cared for many pets over the years, including a beloved pet pig. Camille was known for her vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor. She had a mischievous, fun-loving spirit that brought joy to those around her, making every moment spent with her memorable.

Despite the profound loss of her two sons, Brian O’Donnell in 2007 and Christopher O’Donnell in 2009, as well as her dear brother Steven Cofone, Camille remained a pillar of strength for her family. She continued to live her life with purpose, showing kindness and love to those who remained, demonstrating resilience in the face of unimaginable grief.

Camille is survived by her loving children, Sarah and her husband Brian Fritz, Daniel O’Donnell, and Kyle O’Donnell; her dear sister Rosemarie Pavlik and her husband John Pavlik; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews, who will all carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
