had the opportunity to work alongside Quaid and his Dad on a local job site during one autumn that was full of tools, jokes and many, many laughs; we had a great time! “I’m just glad to be working,” was an off-the-cuff, mature comment that Quaid made to me at one point.
Some time later, after his horrific injury had occurred I was invited to the house and was so pleased to see Quaid living and making the journey that best fit his circumstances. I would have said “unfortunate circumstances” had it been the case. It didn't fit the scene I had witnessed with my own eyes.
There was unconditional love, support, direction and strength in this home. His sister and brothers saw their brother as they had always seen him, their brother. Quaid had recently become an Uncle. The baby was an exciting addition to the Mobus family; you just had to ask Quaid. It was as if the injuries were just a set of nuisances in this young man's path to the future. I cherish Quaid’s very being the moment he said to me, “Kevin, I'm just trying to wrap my head around this.”
I'd say that is a mature outlook for a person of any age.
I will miss him, just as everyone who crossed his path will miss him. He will be in my prayers as long as I live.

I came here to send condolences and share a memory of Quaid myself. And then I read your words and knew that was exactly what I would have written. A perfect tribute to someone I remember connecting with as far back as when he was a happy-go-lucky teenager working at Bardy Farms. He's laughing and running for eternity and I wish strength and love to everyone who knew and loved him, both family and friends. - J Wolfson

My heart goes out to Quaid's family and friends. He was a very caring a sweet young man. I visited him after he left Cheshire Home and was impressed with the beautiful home he made for himself and his ability to create impressive Lego creations as part of his occupational therapy. We talked about his faith and his words of advice to never take anything for granted. Cheshire Home had the pleasure of his attendance at our Gala just days before his passing. He will be missed.

My love and condolences to you all. He will be greatly missed. So many wonderful childhood memories. As we got older and bonded with our health issues and pains. He was a great comfort. I really liked confiding in him. I felt that he understood me. Much love to you all.
This was at Jordan and Quonda's baby shower. I am happy I captured this moment. I will always treasure it.
