Obituary of Jacqualine F. Salemi

Jacqualine F. Salemi, a cherished member of the Elizabeth and Lakewood communities, passed away peacefully in Toms River at the Community Medical Center. Born on November 28, 1956, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Jacqualine lived there until she moved to Lakewood eight years ago.
Jacqualine began her career at Prudential Insurance Company in Elizabeth, where she excelled as an account manager for several years. Her entrepreneurial spirit later led her to establish her own business, specializing in the transcription of court hearings. This profession allowed her the joy of working from home.
Jacqualine found immense joy in the company of her family. She adored her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, often indulging in the simple pleasure of watching daytime soap operas when she could steal a moment for herself.
Jacqualine leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to her family. She is survived by her brothers, Gerald Salemi and Charles Salemi and his wife, Eleanor; her nieces and nephew, Michele and her husband Nicholas Amato; Melissa and her husband Jarred Weisfeld; Melanie and her husband David Kriskewic, and Charlie and his wife Mary Salemi. Her nine great-nieces and nephews, Damian, Natalie, Justin, Evan, Nathan, Harper, Bruno, William, and Samantha, will also hold dear the memory of their beloved aunt.
Visitation for Jacqualine will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A Mass in her honor will be celebrated on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount R.C. Church - Chapel, 167 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jacqualine’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice, celebrating her spirit of giving and support.
Jacqualine’s life was marked by her warmth, generosity, and the quiet strength she carried through all her endeavors. She will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
