Obituary of Anna Ferrara

Anna Ferrara, 83, of North Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 4, 2024. Born in Montazzoli, Italy, on July 4, 1941, Anna moved to Plainfield, New Jersey at the age of 20. Shortly thereafter, she married Corinto Ferrara, and the couple settled in North Plainfield over 60 years ago, where they raised their family.

Anna worked as an assembler at Aircast in New Providence for 20 years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication. A devout Catholic, she was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in North Plainfield.

Anna was also active in her community as a member of the Italian American Club in Scotch Plains. Her passions included gardening and spending time outdoors tending to her flowers. Above all, Anna cherished gatherings with her friends and family. She had a regular group of friends she met with often, but her greatest joy was the time spent with her family, who were the center of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Corinto; their three children, Guy, Silvano, and Linda Ferrara; and her two brothers, Joseph and Alfonso Luciana.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, New Jersey. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9, at 9:30 AM at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in North Plainfield, followed by entombment at the mausoleum at Saint Theresa Cemetery in Summit, New Jersey.
