Obituary of Helen S. Kordulak
Helen S. Kordulak, 83, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at Sunrise Senior Living in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Helen was born in New Brunswick and grew up in Bayonne, where she was raised above her parents’ bakery, the Cottage Bakery.
In 1971, Helen and her family settled in Warren, where she would reside until 2004 before moving to Washington, New Jersey. Helen dedicated many years to a fulfilling career at Dunn & Bradstreet, where she worked as a manager in the international department before her retirement.
Helen had a generous spirit, sharing her time and kindness with her community. She was a former member of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren and had most recently attended masses at St. Ann’s RC Church in Hampton as a member. She also volunteered at Hunterdon Medical Center’s gift shop. Helen’s love for animals led her to run a small dog-walking business, allowing her to share her affection for dogs with neighbors. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and entertaining, and her family fondly remembers her as a keen shopper with an eye for finding the best.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard. Helen is survived by her three daughters: Susan Weideli and her husband Jim, Sandie Stack and her husband Michael, and Stephanie Smith. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Jennie Weideli, Michael Weideli, and Lauren Stack, as well as her siblings Jane and her husband Richard and Richard Arciszewski.
A visitation for Helen will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ. A funeral mass will follow at the church, commencing at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 145 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ.
Helen’s warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
