Obituary of William "Billy" Miller

December 23, 1968 – December 17, 2024

William “Billy” Miller, 55, of Warren, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Born on December 23, 1968, in Newark, NJ, to George Miller III and Lorraine (née Setaro), Billy spent his early years in North Plainfield, where he graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1986.

The greatest joys of his life were his two daughters, Raegan and Jade. He cherished his role as their father above all else, and every moment spent with them brought him immeasurable happiness and pride.

Billy’s love for cars was more than a passion—it was his life’s work. For over 35 years, he owned and operated B&B Auto, a trusted auto repair shop where his skill, integrity, and dedication earned the loyalty of his community. What made his career even more meaningful was sharing it with his twin brother, George “Buddy” Miller IV. Together, they built a business and a legacy side by side, spending their entire working lives as not only partners but as best friends.

Billy’s life was also filled with adventure and connection. A lover of travel and new experiences, some of his most cherished trips included an African safari, a journey to Sydney, Australia, and a visit to Walt Disney World in Florida. Whether exploring far-off places or enjoying simple moments closer to home, Billy made every experience meaningful.

Billy had a natural ability to connect with people. His easygoing nature, warmth, and humor made him someone others were drawn to, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether at work, at home, or in his travels, Billy made friends effortlessly and was respected by all who knew him.

His involvement in the community reflected his generous spirit. Billy served as President of the American Legion Riders Group #209 and was a member of the Italian American Club, the Watchung Hills Elks, and the Moose Lodge in Ortley, NJ.

Billy is survived by his loving parents, Lorraine Miller and George Miller III; his cherished daughters, Raegan Miller and Jade Miller, who were the center of his world, and their mother, Barbara; his twin brother and lifelong business partner, George “Buddy” Miller IV and his girlfriend Joanna; his sister, Maryanne Schwartz and his companion, Summar Kasar. He is also survived by his nieces, Alexandra, Rebecca, Julianna, and Nicole, as well as his nephew Jonathan.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. Funeral services will begin on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 170 Mt Bethel Road, Warren, NJ 07059. An entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.

In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Billy’s memory.

Billy’s life was one of hard work, love, and adventure. He will be remembered as a devoted father, son, brother, and friend—a man who not only worked tirelessly but lived fully. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
