Obituary of Rose Parella

Georgia: Rose Marie (Sarte) Parella, age 93, died on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Golden Crest Assisted Living in Stockbridge, GA. Born in North Plainfield, she had resided in Plainfield and North Plainfield for many years before moving to Georgia seven 7 years ago. Rose was in the Army during World War II, serving as a WAC. She was a former member of St. Luke's Church in North Plainfield. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and playing cards and loved spending time with her family. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Parella in 1977. Surviving is her son Richard and his wife Meg of McDonough, GA ; her brother Kenneth R. Sarte of North Plainfield and three grandchildren Jennifer Nagengast, Jeffrey Parella and Jana Parella and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Church, North Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, So. Plainfield. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 p.m
