Obituary of Marvin Koral

Dr. Marvin Koral, age 89, died on Sunday December 14, 2014 at his home in Warren surrounded by his family. Born in the Bronx NY, Dr. Koral has resided in Warren for the past 48 years. Dr. Koral was a graduate of New York University and had received his masters from West Virginia University. He received his PhD in organic chemistry from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. Dr, Koral had served in World War II in France and Germany. He was in General Patton's Tank Division. He became interested in chemistry when he toured a chemical factory during the war. He retired from Tenneco Chemical Company. Dr. Koral was also a professor at many colleges in the area. He especially enjoyed teaching the student nurses and getting them through the dreaded subject of chemistry. Dr. Koral enjoyed the shore, his family and the football Giants especially whenever they had a winning season. He was an avid reader and enjoyed walking. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Rita Koral (Fass), daughter Beth Fenza, daughter Doreen Webb (Rory) and his grandchildren Shane and Lucas Polhamer , Autumn and Ilissa Webb. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 10 am at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ followed by the interment at Floral Park Cemetery in Monmouth Junction.
