Obituary of Louis Paul Domenick
Louis P. Domenick, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2014, at his home in Bridgewater. Louis was born in New Castle, Pa, on April 5, 1927 , and raised in Plainfield, NJ. He was an armed service veteran who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For most of Lou's career, he was a construction superintendent, primarily with the Wigton and Abbott Corporation of Plainfield. Louis served as president of the Plainfield Local 14 Bricklayer's and Plasterer's Union for more than twenty-five years.
With his wife of 66 years, Doris, he lived in Watchung and Warren, NJ and also spent many winter seasons in Pompano Beach, FL. Louis was a charter member of the Watchung Hills Elks Lodge #2252 in Warren where he enjoyed the company of many friends.
Louis is pre-deceased by his wife, Doris, his brothers, Charles and Joseph, and his sisters, Margaret, Carrie, Jeanette and Pauline. He is survived by his brother, Frank, his loving son, Mark and Mimi Domenick of Martinsville and daughter, Dawn and Bert Torres of Bridgewater. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, James and Jessica Domenick of Mountainside, Christopher Domenick of Brooklyn, Jeffrey Domenick of Brooklyn, Martina, Brendan and Michael Torres of Bridgewater, and by his great-grandson, Grant Domenick and great-granddaughter, Thea Domenick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung on Monday, December 29th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, December 30th, at 10:30 am followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park
