Obituary of Carl E. Kimmick

Carl E. Kimmick, age 81, passed away on Sunday December 28, 2014 at his home in Warren surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rahway, Mr. Kimmick had resided in Colonia for thirteen years before moving to Warren forty years ago. Mr. Kimmick had served in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retiring in 1993 Mr. Kimmick had been employed by Merck and Company in Rahway for over 23 years as an Instrument Supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing especially from the Naples Pier in Florida where the family had their winter retreat. He also enjoyed wood carving. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Gail (Lourie) Kimmick; two sons Kevin Kimmick and his wife Marjorie of Bethlehem PA and Keith Kimmick of Warren; a sister Gail Byers of Polk City FL. He is also survived by 2 grandsons Brandon and Logan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Higgins Home for Funeral 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung NJ. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren.
