Obituary of Carl Streko

Watchung: Carl Streko, age 69, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Newark, he moved to Kenilworth in the seventh grade and then resided in the Warren, Watchung area for 35 years. Mr. Streko served in the United States Navy as a Corp Man. He was the buisness owner of Supplies-Supplies for 30 years and recently retired. Carl loved fishing,wildlife and nature. He is predeceased by his brother, Richard Streko in 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bette Jo Streko; his daughter, Carlye Streko, his son, Michael Streko and his wife Amy and his grandson, Everett. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. service at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Cremation is private.
