Obituary of Mary Mae Coley

Mae Coley, a longtime resident of Warren, NJ, passed away after a short illness on January 12, 2015. She was 97 years of age and enjoyed her full life. She was employed by Tepper's Department Store in Plainfield, NJ in the book department during the 1950s and 1960s. The beloved wife of John Coley, Sr., who predeceased her, she is survived by her son, John Coley, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Pamela. Her daughter, Christina Endsley, and her husband, Neil, also predeceased her. Mae is survived by her grandchildren, Jackie Endsley and her husband, Evan Dicharry, Laura Coley, Kelly Coley, Sara Coley, and Jessica Firko and her husband, Harry, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kate Firko. Mae was predeceased by all her siblings: Jean McLinskey, John McKlinskey, Robert McKlinskey and Evelyn McCormack. Mae was born in the Bronx, NY and moved to Plainfield, NJ at the age of one. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Plainfield, NJ. She loved to read and was a member of the Warren Library Board for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and kept everyone laughing with her wonderful sense of humor. After her retirement, she loved to take her trailer to the Florida Keys for the winter with her late husband. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, January 16th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel in Warren. Cremation is private.
