Obituary of David Eisenbud

Basking Ridge: Dr. David Eisenbud, age 60, died on Friday February 6, 2015 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Dr. Eisenbud had resided in Watchung before moving to Basking Ridge six years ago. He graduated high school from the Pingry School. Dr. Eisenbud received his Bachelor's Degree from Yale University in New Haven CT. He later went on to earn a master's degree in organic chemistry from the University of Chicago and his medical degree from the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. His residency was performed at New York Hospital (Cornell) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in General Surgery. He performed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He also received a MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business. Dr. Eisenbud is board certified in General Surgery and Certified wound specialist. Dr. Eisenbud was a managing partner at Milburn Surgical Associates and former president and COO of Advanced BioHealing, Inc. and Past President of American Academy of Wound Management. He was an avid golfer, pizza connoisseur and was besotted with his dogs He is survived by two children Evan and Matthew Eisenbud his mother June Eisenbud; and a sister Dr. Leslie Eisenbud Quint.
