Warren: Daniel Joseph Kerr, age 84, passed away on Friday February 7, 2015 at his home in Warren NJ. Born in Paterson, Mr. Kerr had resided in Bridgewater and Chatham before moving to Warren in 1985. Mr. Kerr graduated from Pope Pius XII High School in Passaic. He then went on to Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, Georgia. He graduated and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army. Mr. Kerr served in the Army for two years during the Korean Conflict.
After the military Mr. Kerr received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
For 44 years Mr. Kerr owned and operated Hochheiser Brothers a wholesale paper products company located in Plainfield NJ. He retired in 2010.
He was an avid baseball fan. He followed the Yankees and had an extensive collection of baseball books. Mr. Kerr was a member of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Elizabeth Kerr, a son Gregory Kerr and his wife Debra of Hillsborough, a daughter Laura Kerr of Warren and four grandchildren Michael and Matthew Kerr and Sarah and Norah Landerman.
