Obituary of Risa Bass

Risa Bass, age 90, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Whispering Knoll Assisted Living in Edison. Born in the Ukraine, she moved to the United States in 1950. She resided in North Plainfield, from 1960-2009, before moving to Edison. Risa taught Hebrew at Temple Beth El in Plainfield for many years. She was a member of Hadassah, and enjoyed cooking and baking in her spare time. Surviving are her daughter Ellen Bass-Tripp and her husband Steven Tripp; grandchildren Tovah and Charlie Tripp. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield, NJ.
