Obituary of Margaret V. Duffy

Margaret Virginia Duffy passed through the gates of heaven on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the age of 84, at Norwood Terrace Nursing Home in Plainfield, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Margaret lived in North Plainfield for the past 40 years. Margaret was employed by McCrory's in Plainfield for many years and knew a lot of people from the surrounding areas. She also was a volunteer at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center for many years. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who spent her life devoted to her family and children. She had many friends of the family that she thought of and treated as her own children. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Raymond T. Duffy in 2000. Surviving are her six children, Margaret Ann Martina of Virginia, Patricia Duffy of North Plainfield, Rose Koperstynski of Missouri, Raymond Duffy of Florida, Kathleen Bottone of North Plainfield and Joseph Duffy of Florida; her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Joseph's RC Church, North Plainfield.
