Obituary of Mary Jane McKechnie

Mary Jane McKechnie, age 74, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her home in North Plainfield. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, she had resided in Middlesex from 1968-1976 before moving to North Plainfield. Prior to retiring in 1994, Mary Jane was a Technician at Overlook Hospital in Summit. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Charlotte Buckman, Carol L. Hurt and Gloria Jean Maher. Surviving is her husband James L. McKechnie; sisters Linda Scott and her husband Norman and Bonnie Uptain and her husband Tim; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
