Obituary of Eleftery "Teddy" D. Marketos

Eleftery D. Marketos, "Teddy", age 45, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his residence in Green Brook with his wife and family at his side. Born in Teaneck, NJ he was raised in Fort Lee and would later reside in Warren and Green Brook. Teddy was a proud and successful business owner and the key reason for the startup and continued success of many of the family operated restaurants. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. Teddy was an avid sports fan, memorabilia collector and enjoyed NASCAR. Surviving is his loving wife Agata (Wozniak) Marketos; his parents James and Niki Marketos; his brother Peter Marketos; beloved uncles Gerasimos and Helen Marketos and Dennis and Stefania Marketos; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ 07069. Funeral services will begin on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Byzantine Greek Church, 214 Warwick St., Newark. Repast to follow at Ramada Plaza Hotel, 160 Frontage Road, Newark, NJ 07114.
