Obituary of Mary Josephine Lorenc

Mary Josephine (Kaczmarek) Lorenc, age 94, died on Sunday (June 8, 2003) at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. Born in Poland, Mrs. Lorenc lived in Hillside for 30 years and Watchung for 16 years before moving to Green Brook in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Casimir's Church in Newark and an active member of the Warren and Green Brook Senior Citizens. She loved being with her family, traveling and playing gin rummy. Mrs. Lorenc was predeceased by her husband, Andrew M. Lorenc. Surviving are five children, Claire Niemcyzk of Scotch Plains, Theresa Romano of Scotch Plains, Andrew "Butch" Lorenc of Green Brook, Helen Marino of Bridgewater, and Henry Lorenc of Kenilworth' 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Casimir's Church in Newark. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
