Obituary of Ira G.T. Weismann

Ira G.T. Weismann, age 76, of Warren died Monday June 16th, at home. He was born in Binghamton, New York and lived in Basking Ridge before moving to Warren sixteen years ago. Mr. Weismann was an accountant for over 50 years and was managing partner of I.W.A. Financial Consulting, LLC. in Livingston. He received his B.A. Degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. and his Masters in Accounting from NYU, in New York City. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Temple Har Shalom in Warren and former member and past president of Temple Bnai Abraham in Newark. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, served as a member and past president of the Carlstadt East Rutherford Rotary and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He was past president of the Village Club, a mens club in South Orange, and was also a member of the Green Brook Country Club in North Caldwell. Mr. Weismann is survived by his wife Kathy A. (Duffy) Weismann, four sons David D. Weismann, Bart Weismann, David Marquier and his wife Sheila, Michael J. Weismann and his wife Joy, two step-daughters Lisa Hamrah Balouma and Lori Hamrah and a step-son Gary Hamrah, Jr. two sisters Marion Josephson and Rita Applebaum. Also surviving are four grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Temple Har Shalom, 104 Mt. Horeb Road, Warren on Wednesday June 18th, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Bnai Abraham Memorial Park in Union.
