Obituary of Mildred Sophie Bohrer

Mildred Sophie (Buehler) Bohrer, age 90, died Sunday, August 3, 2003 at her home. Born in Newark, NJ, she resided in North Plainfield since moving with eher parents at the age of nine. Employed for many years by the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, she retired after marrying fellow employee, Edgar Bohrer. Mrs. Bohrer loved to knit, crochet and paint ceramics in her pastime. Her husband predeceased her on February 28, 1976. Surviving are a son, Bruce and his wife Ginny Bohrer of FL; a daughter, Joyce and her husband Allen Tompkins of North Plainfield; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 7th at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, with Rev. Jeffrey Wildrick officiating. An interment at Hillside Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the North Plainfield Rescue Squad, 263 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, NJ 07060 would be appreciated.
