Obituary of Joseph J. Perrone

Joseph J. Perrone, age 89, died on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Born in New York City, he lived in Garfield, Fanwood, and Warren for 30 years prior to moving to Fair Hill, MD in 1999. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Perrone was self-employed as a wholesale liquor and wine distributor in Elizabeth, NJ. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Warren Lions Club. He was very athletic and enjoyed handball and tennis. He was predeceased by his wife, Esther (Zingarelli) Perrone, in 1989. Surviving are his daughter, Francine Cline and her husband Jerry of Fair Hill, MD; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 9:00 a.m. from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
