Obituary of Ellen Marie Weinschenk

Ellen Marie (Cogan) Weinschenk, age 81, died on Monday, August 18, 2003 at her home in Warren. Born and raised in South Orange, she lived in Irvington before moving to Warren in 1950. She was an active communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and as a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Shrine Cenacle and the Warren Senior Citizens. Mrs. Weinschenk is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, John J. Weinschenk of Warren; six sons, Richard and his wife Marlene of Warren, Jack and his wife Jill of Stanton, Lawrence of Lebanon Twp., Thomas and his wife Monica of Warren, Robert and his wife Debra of Pittstown, and James of Union Twp.; one daughter, Nancy Augustyniak and her husband Thomas of Whitehouse Station; one brother, Thomas Cogan of CT; one sister, Florence McCabe of Barnegat; and twelve grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Erica, Ryan, Lindsay, Courtney, Amy, Caitlin, Cassandra, Ben, Alyssa, and Tommy. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Entombment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
