Obituary of Helen Parr

Middlesex: Helen Mason Parr, age 90, died on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the Raritan Health and Extended Care Center in Raritan. Born in Bernards Township to the late William Henry Mason and Mabel Edna Nelson, Helen grew up in Martinsville. She also lived in Belle Mead, Warren and Watchung before residing in Middlesex and then Raritan one year ago. She worked as a Supervisor for Bell Labs in Warren for over 20 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Volunteer Rescue Squad in Watchung and a former member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church in Warren. She is predeceased by her two husbands, FrankCloster and Arthur Parr. She is survived by her four daughters; Nancy Armstrong and her husband Platt of Middlesex, Kathy Griffin and her husband Tom also of Middlesex, Jean Wagner and her husband Charles of Clinton and Frances Warnkin and her husband Tom of Bangor, PA. Two step-sons; Arthur Parr and his wife Barbara of Utah and Greg Parr and his wife Chris of Ewing, NJ; and one step-daughter, Cynthia Delaney and her husband John of Michigan. Two brothers, William and Robert Mason. Two sisters, Dottie Dilts and Elsie Calaway. Nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren The funeral services will be begin on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Horeb Methodist Church in Warren. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
