Obituary of Anna Le Flem
Anna Le Flem, age 85, died on Monday, November 3, 2003 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in New York City, she was raised in South Beach, Staten Island and lived in North Plainfield for 45 years before moving to Warren in 2000.
Mrs. Le Flem worked as a cashier at the A & P in Plainfield and Fanwood. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Le Flem, who died in 1994. Surviving is her son, Frank Magliola and his wife Anne of Staten Island; three daughters, Judy Fanurik and her husband Kenneth of Martinsville, Debbie Hess and her husband Timothy of New Holland, PA, and Veronica Catello and her husband Nick of Staten Island; three sisters, Mary McIsaac of Middletown, Lillian Seher of California, and Margaret Schindler of Staten Island; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin on Thursday, November 6th at 9:00 am from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Somerset Medical Center Foundation (to help build a new cancer center), 110 Rehill Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876.
