Obituary of Patricia B. Sarappo

Patricia (Buchanan) Sarappo, age 67, died on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at her home in Basking Ridge. Born in Philadelphia, PA, after numerous moves with her husband and family, Mrs. Sarappo resided in Basking Ridge for her final five years. She taught at Livingston High School for 12 years as an English teacher, retiring in 1997. After having her first five children, she attended Farleigh Dickinson University, receiving her BS degree in 1970. She later attended the University of Houston, receiving a BS and a M.Ed. in English Education. Mrs. Sarappo lived in London, England as well as Paris, France, and enjoyed traveling. She visited five continents and taught at Wuhan University in China during the summer of 1988. Her parents, Hugh and Catherine Buchanan predeceased her. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John W. Sarappo; her five daughters, Patricia Britton, Terri Kranzler, Susan Squires, Karen Rousselot, and Jennifer Ogelsby; her son, John W. Sarappo, Jr.; one brother, Hugh Buchanan; two sisters, Ella Buchanan Denny and Catherine Buchanan Davis; and 14 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 10th at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Martinsville. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Gray Nuns of the Sacred Heart, 1750 Quarry Road, Yardley, PA 19067, would be appreciated.
