Obituary of Gordon A. Phillips

Gordon A. Phillips, died on Monday, November 17, 2003 in Flemington. Born in Orange, NJ, he lived in North Plainfield for 45 years before moving to Monroe Township in 1998. He received a degree in Business Administration from Upsala College in East Orange and worked for 55 years in the mens clothing industry. He was a US Navy veteran actively serving in WWII. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Doris (Jaffe) Phillips; one daughter Paula; one son, Andrew and his wife Suzanne; and a sister, Joan Werner. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ with Rabbi William Kraus officiating. Interment will follow at Hebrew Cemetery in South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Christopher Reeve Foundation, 500 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081.
