Obituary of John F. Komorek

John F. Komorek, age 87, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Mr Komorek was born and raised in Newark, and lived in Nutley for 21 years before moving to Manchester 22 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Komorek worked as a sales clerk for Shop Rite Liquors of 30th Street in Bayonne for 10 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Nutley and active in the Holy Name Society and as an usher there. He loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. He was a talented gardener and woodworker. Mr. Komorek is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loretta (Dziegielewski) Komorek; one daughter, Marianne Salkowski and her husband Richard of Warren; one sister, Sophia Kocur of Toms River; 3 grandchildren, Cynthia Roberts and her husband John, Rick Salkowski and his wife Kristin, and Jill Salkowski; and 4 great-granchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Julianna, and Rebecca.
