Obituary of Jorge Luis Vidal

Jorge Luis Vidal, age 33, died on Saturday, November 22, 2003 on vacation in Brazil. He was born in Elizabeth, and grew up in Columbia, South America, prior to moving back to Elizabeth, Edison, and most recently, Piscataway. Mr. Vidal studied at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1995. He worked as a network engineer for Vorage in Edison and was about to start working at AT&T. He enjoyed traveling, working with computers, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Luis Alfonso and Maria (Rosario) Vidal; two brothers, Carlos Vidal of Venice, CA and Diego Vidal of Piscataway; and his girlfriend, Simone Padilha Da Costa of Brazil. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. from the Higgins Home For Funeral, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, followed by 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Marys Church in Plainfield. Cremation will follow at Somerset Hill Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Friday, November 28, 2003 from 2 4 p.m. and 7 9 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funeral, Watchung.
