Obituary of Felipe Eduardo “Phil” Astudillo

Felipe Eduardo Phil Astudillo, age 27, died on Thursday, November 27th in Wall Township. Born in Cuenca, Ecuador, he lived in Summit for 5 years and Bedminster for 7 years before moving to Charleston, SC in 1999. Mr. Astudillo was VP of Market Development for TVHost in South Carolina. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the clear waters and always knew how to outsmart Snook. He enjoyed entertaining with his love for guitar and stand-up comedy. He was a loving father, caring brother and devoted son. Felipe will be remembered for living life to the fullest. His contagious smile and generous heart. He will be sadly missed. He will always will be in our hearts, for he was the brightest. Surviving is his daughter, Desiree Marie Astudillo Giovannis of North Plainfield; his parents, Eugenio Jose and Maria Dolores Astudillo of North Plainfield, three sisters, Maria of Chicago, IL, Raquel of St. Petersburg, FL, and Karina of North Plainfield; and one brother, Fabian of Kearny. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:00 am from Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ 07069, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 29th from 7-9 pm and Sunday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
