Obituary of Bertha M. Favina

Bertha M. Bee Favina, age 82, died Tuesday, December 2 at her home in Watchung. Mrs. Favina was born in Newark and had lived in Watchung for 47 years. Prior to her retirement in 1960, Mrs. Favina was an auditor for Sears and Roebuck in Newark for 20 years. Mrs. Favina was a member of St. Marys Stony Hill Church and was in charge of the Rosary Altar Society for 12 years. She was devoted to her family. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Samuel Favina of Watchung; a son Jeff Favina of Watchung; a sister, Margaret Koep of Hampton; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 9:30 at St. Marys Stony Hill Church, Watchung followed by interment at St. Marys Stony Hill Cemetery, Watchung. Visitation will be on Friday, December 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Home for Funerals. 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung.
