Obituary of Roscoe Lindsey Counts, Jr.

Roscoe Lindsey Counts, Jr., age 64, died on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at his home. Born in Plainfield, Mr. Counts grew up in Scotch Plains and resided in Plainfield since 1966. He worked for American Cynamide in Bound Brook for 33 years as a Chemical Operator retiring in 1999. He was a veteran of the Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He enjoyed cooking, reading and watching sports, and he really loved gardening. He is predeceased by his father, Roscoe Lindsey Counts Sr. in 1995, and his daughter Gayle Counts in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Corrine Roane Counts. His son, Roscoe Lindsey Counts III of Plainfield. Five daughters, Stephanie Morisset of Willingboro, Sherry, Sharon, Audrey and Joy Counts of Plainfield; his mother Estelle Counts; two sisters, Beverly Johnson of Westfield and Charlotte Carter of Plainfield; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one god son. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at 11 a.m. from Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
