Obituary of John Salvatore Cusmano
Warren: Mr. John Salvatore Cusmano, 76, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he grew up in Plainfield, attending Plainfield High School and resided in Scotch Plains before moving to Warren 38 years ago.
Prior to retiring 15 years ago, Mr. Cusmano was employed as an accounting manager for General Electric in Clark for 30 years.
A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a communicant and former usher at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. He also was a member of the R.C.A. Retirees Group.
Mr. Cusmano enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan. He especially followed the Yankees.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rose Marie Gianfrancesco Cusmano, three sons, John J. and Kenneth A. Cusmano both of Warren, Thomas A. and his wife Linda of Thorndale, PA, a daughter Adele and her husband Andy Loigu of Washington, NJ a sister Marie Lipiro of Brunswick, OH and three grandchildren, Melanie, Patrick and Carolyn.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5th at 9:15 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church, Warren. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
