Obituary of Evelyn F Ricci
Evelyn F. (Kagan) Ricci, age 79, died on Monday January 5th, 2004 at her daughters home in Kissimmee FL.
Born in Elizabeth, she resided in Plainfield before moving to Kissimmee 14 years ago.
Mrs, Ricci was a graduate of Union County College in Cranford NJ. She was a committeewoman and councilman for the Democratic Party until the early 1980s. She was the past president of the Jefferson Elementary School, Hubbard Junior High School and Plainfield High School PTAs, all in Plainfield.
In 1965, Mrs. Ricci served as a councilwoman for Plainfield and was an aid to Senator Mildred Barry Hughes. In addition, she was an avid fundraiser for the March of Dimes and enjoyed playing Bingo in her spare time.
Mrs. Ricci was predeceased by her husband Frank D. Ricci in 1990.
Surviving are her three daughters, Sandra Tarallo of Old Bridge, Deborah Alcantara of Daytona Beach, FL, and Darlene De Filippis of Kissimmee FL; a sister Bea Barr of Kissimmee FL., nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 9th 2004 at 11:30 am at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St., Plainfield with Rabbi Moshe Samber officiating. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. Please visit www.higginsfuneral.com to light a candle of remembrance.
