Obituary of Celia Brodman

Celia Brodman, 86, died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Greenbrook Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Green Brook, NJ. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she resided in Jenkintown, PA for 30 years before moving to Warren, NJ four years ago. Prior to retiring 25 years ago, Mrs. Brodman was employed for 20 years as a librarian by the Union Catalog Library in Philadelphia. Mrs. Brodman was an active member of the Jewish organization, ORT as well as Temple Beth Am in Jenkintown and Hadassah. In addition, Mrs. Brodman was the past president of the Rydal West residence building co-op in Jenkintown. Mrs. Brodman was an extensive world traveler who loved to play Bridge and cook. Her husband Jack Brodman predeceased her in 1969 as well as her four brothers. Surviving are two sons Bruce and his wife Rikky Brodman of East Stroudsburg, PA and Dr. Richard R. and his wife Bonnie Brodman of Green Brook, NJ and six grandchildren, Scott and Shauna Brodman and Jamie Brodman Vazquez, Andrew, Todd and Brandon Brodman. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:45 am at Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery, 2701 Old Lincoln Highway, Trevose, PA. Shiva will be observed from 6:00 10:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday at the home of Dr. & Mrs. Richard R. Brodman.
