Obituary of Arthur E. Potts

Toms River: Arthur Potts, age 95, died on Wednesday January 21st at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey. Mr. Potts was born in Elizabeth and lived in Cranford before moving to Toms River over 25 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Potts worked as a night manager for Diehl Manufacturing in Finderne for over 30 years. Mr. Potts was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing and in his youth played semi-pro baseball. He was the oldest of 6 children. He is predeceased by his wife Jean. He is survived by his son Ronald Potts and his wife Louetta of Warren; a brother John Potts of Deptford, NJ; a granddaughter Laurie Maziekien of Watchung; a grandson Geoffrey Potts of Fort Collins, CO; a great-grandson Nicholas Maziekien. Funeral service will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Gertrudes Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be sent to the Wilson Memorial Union Church, Hillcrest Road, Watchung, NJ 07069
