Obituary of Irving Becker

Edison: Irving Becker, age 84, died on Monday February 9, 2004, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living in Edison. Mr. Becker was born in Brooklyn NY and had lived in North Plainfield, Plainfield, and Massachusetts until moving to Toms River in 1983. Prior to retiring Mr. Becker owned Bibys Jewelry with his wife in New Brunswick as a jeweler for 15 years. Mr. Becker is a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II. He enjoyed singing and the opera. He is survived by his wife Rita (Blick) Becker of Edison; three daughters Marsha Katz of Asbury Park NJ, Sheryl Mann and her husband Howard of Yardley, PA, and Tara Rahmy and her husband Barry of Simsbury CT; two brothers Leon and Edward Becker of Brooklyn NY; a sister Jean Paris of Del Ray Beach, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren Nomi Schwartz, Ari Katz, David Mann, and Evan Mann, Cleo Rahmy, Madeline Rahmy; and three great grandchildren Emma Schwartz, Kyla Schwartz and Ethan Schwartz. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday February 10th at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th Street Plainfield NJ with Rabbi Michael Abraham officiating.
